Bankali Temple (बनकाली मन्दिर)

Bankali Temple is a sacred temple dedicated to Goddess Bankali (Bandevi), located in the forest south of Deupatan in the Pashupati area of Kathmandu. The idol, installed by Licchavi King Shivadev, is worshipped in an open-air setting without a roof, making it unique. A guthi (trust) manages 33 ropanis of land for temple rituals and activities. The temple is known for its traditional ceremonies and annual offerings, and it remains an important spiritual and cultural site in Kathmandu.
